Initializing broadcast module... [OK] Awaiting input... This is your chance to transmit to the entire SMT network. Make it count. █

> Every listing on SMT starts as a blank slate.
> This guide will walk you through populating the fields
> and broadcasting your first ad to the market.

> step_1: select_ad_type

First, navigate to the // Create_Ad page from the main header. You'll be prompted to choose the core purpose of your listing. This is a critical first step as it determines where your ad will be shown.

  • [ Sell Item ]: Choose this if you are selling a digital or physical good (e.g., an NFT, a game key, a collectible).
  • [ Provide Service ]: Choose this if you are a freelancer offering a specific service for a fixed price (e.g., "I will write a 500-word article"). This goes into the Service_Listings tab.
  • [ Request Service ]: Choose this if you are looking to hire someone for a job (e.g., "I need a video editor for a 5-minute video"). This goes into the Freelance_Hub.

> step_2: populate_data_fields

Once you've selected your ad type, you will be presented with a form to define your listing.

  • Title: Create a clear and concise title. This is the first thing users will read.
  • Upload Images: Add up to 3 images to showcase your item or service.

FILE_LIMITS: Max 3 images. Max file size of 5MB per image.

  • Category & Subcategory: Select the most relevant categories for your ad. This is crucial for helping the right users find you.
  • Description: This is where you sell it. Be detailed. What are you offering? What are the terms? What makes it stand out? Good descriptions lead to faster sales.

> step_3: set_your_price

Define the cost of your item or service.

  • Currency: Use the dropdown to select the cryptocurrency you wish to be paid in (e.g., SOL, USDC, $SMT).
  • Amount: Enter the price you are asking for.

> step_4: broadcast_the_ad

Review all the information you've entered. Once you're satisfied, press the [ Create Ad ] button.

Your Phantom wallet will pop up one last time, asking you to approve a transaction. This transaction posts your ad to the decentralized network and requires a very small Solana gas fee (a fraction of a cent). Click Approve.

Congratulations. Your ad is now live on the Solana Market Terminal.

> Transmission successful. Your listing is now visible across the network.
